Motive and Consequence - the Greeks didn't say No to the Euro

It's worth noting that the "No" vote was not a No to Europe or the Euro.

Some of the Greeks I've spoken to expressed concern before and after the referendum that this was how the vote would be interpreted. Many of the articles I've read in the non-Greek press have interpreted it this way.

Ok, given the high risk that Greece does end up leaving the Eurozone, it would be naive to completely separate the two. However, the majority of Greeks voted No to further austerity measures, acknowledging, yet not necessarily desiring, that the consequence could well be exit from the Eurozone.

I think it's important to differentiate between motive and consequence. Especially as politicians have a field day mixing the two of them up.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind - the beauty of the brief

Some of the first available images of a (very) temporary street exhibition this month. Perhaps "ephemeral" would be a better description, as very few are up for more than 2 or 3 days.

There's something great about that though. There's a sense of freedom in creating something that you know for "almost" certain will be destroyed. You no longer have the fear of damaging anything, or even of getting it wrong - you can simply do it again next time. Which, of course, doesn't necessarily mean that you don't do it right. If anything that audacity gives you a heightened sense of creative freedom, which in turn brings out the best in you.

To be continued... ;)
